Privacy Policy

We, Karetra (trademark name of Dinamik Ltd), Karetra subsidiaries, and Karetra affiliates (collectively "Karetra", "we", "us" or "our"), collect, store, use and disclose your personal information to provide, maintain and improve our applications, websites, APIs and services (collectively "Services"). This privacy policy details which information we collect and how we store and use it.

All Karetra Services that do not provide a separate privacy policy are subject to this privacy policy. By using any of our Services subject to this privacy policy, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this privacy policy.

This privacy policy does not apply to Services that we develop for others. Service owners should provide their own privacy policies.

Information we collect

Information you provide directly and things you do

  • Account information to identify you (e.g. a username, password, or your email address) and personal information you provide for your user profile (e.g. your full name, photo, gender, birthday, or country). Some of this information, like your username and full name, is always public and other users can use it to find your account and user profile in the Service.
  • Your communication details with other users and Karetra staff (e.g. messages to/from other users, supports tickets you create, or feedback data you submit)
  • Content you generate (e.g. posts, shares, comments, photos, or videos) and metadata you provide with it (e.g. date, mentions, tags, location, or device information)
  • Your interactions with other users and content (e.g. people you follow, things you like, subscribe to, or recommend)
  • The way you use the Service (e.g. how often, when and where you use the Service, who and what kind of content you view or search for, or who you communicate with the most)

Information others provide about you

Other users may provide information about you as they use our Services. For example, they may message you, mention you in a post, tag you in a photo, or check-in with you. We associate and store this information with your account.

Information from another service

In most of our Services, you can connect your account to another service like Facebook or Twitter. This connection gives you some additional features. For example, you can log in to our Service by logging in to your Facebook account, or find people in our Service who you already follow on Twitter.

When you connect your account to another service, we collect some information from that service which they provide with your permission. This information may include, but is not limited to, your name, profile photo, gender, user ID, email address, country, the names and profile photos of your friends and other information you have included in your user profile on that service.

We also may submit information to another service on your behalf (e.g. sending a tweet, or posting to Facebook), if you tell us to do so. We do not do this without your clear knowledge.

Location Information

To be able to provide some features of our Services and to customize our Services based on location (e.g. with more relevant content like local trends, local ads, or suggestions), we may collect and use your location information as you use our Services.

This information may be provided directly by you (e.g. by publishing it with the content you generate) or we can use data from your device or network (e.g. your device's GPS, wireless networks or cell towers near you, or your IP address) to determine it.

Device Information

We may collect and use information about your device (e.g. your device's make and model, operating system version, unique device identifier, or mobile network information including phone number) for many different purposes like solving bugs and problems, securing our Services and your account, enabling some features on specific devices, or statistical analysis.

Log Information

If you pay through another service provider like Apple, Google or Microsoft, this information includes the data needed to confirm the payment like the receipt data service provider provides.

We may use cookies, web beacons, local storage and similar technologies to store data on your device and collect information about your use of the Product and provide features to you.

Third-Party Service Providers

We use third-party services (e.g. analytics services like Google Analytics or Flurry, or ad serving services like MoPub or AdMob) to help us provide and improve our Services. Providers of these services may use tracking technologies like cookies or web beacons to collect information about you, your activities when you use our Service or your online activities across different services. As well as providing us information about our Service, they may also use this information to provide you with interest-based advertising or other targeted content.

We have no control over tracking technologies these third parties use or how they may use the information they collect. Collection and usage of this information is not subject to this privacy policy, but the service providers privacy policy. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the service provider directly.

How We Use Your Information

In addition to specific uses of information listed above, we may also use information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, protect, monitor, analyze and improve our Services
  • Customize your experience with targeted content, ads, and suggestions based on the way you, people around you and people like you use the Service
  • Notify you of new content, and things others do in the Service which you choose to get informed of or we believe that you may be interested in
  • Diagnose and fix crashes, errors or performance problems
  • Develop and test new features or services
  • Carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts between you and us.
  • Fulfill any other purposes for which you provide the information
  • Contact you for Service-related purposes (e.g. verifying account, confirming purchases, providing support, responding to your feedback, or technical and security notices)
  • Contact you for marketing purposes (e.g. new features or services which we believe that you may be interested in)

You may not opt out of Service-related communication but you will have an option to disable marketing communication in your account settings.

If you don't have an account but being contacted because of a mail list subscription, you may use the unsubscribe link provided in our emails or messages for us not to contact you for this purpose again.

Sharing and Disclosure of Your Information

We do not share your private information with third-parties outside of Karetra without your consent, except the cases noted below.

Public Content:

If you set your account or any content you generate to be public, we may disclose or share it with other users, third-party services or organizations. Please note that, if another user or a third-party copies or saves your information, it will be available to them even after you remove it from their reach.

User Consent:

You may authorize another user (for example, by friending him/her) and let that user to be able to access your personal information and the content you generate and your personal information.

You also may authorize a third-party service (e.g. a web application, a web client or a client application) to access your account or act on the Service on your behalf. Based on the rights you provide, they may collect your personal information, content you generate, or content other users who have authorized you generate.

Affiliates and Change of Control:

We may share your personal information among our affiliates to help us provide, analyze and improve our or affiliates' Services.

If Karetra is involved in a business transition like a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of all or part of its assets (e.g. selling a Service), we may sell or transfer your personal information as part of that transaction. This privacy policy should continue to apply to your information even after it is transferred. We'll inform you of this change by an email or an in-service message before your information is transferred.

Third-Party Service Providers:

We use some third-party service providers' tools and services to be able to provide and improve our Services. In case these service providers need your private personal information to operate their tools and services, we may share reasonably needed amount of your information with these service providers or let them to collect and process your information on our behalf. We are not liable for the acts and omissions of these service providers, except as provided by mandatory law.

Anonymous Data:

We may publish or disclose any aggregated, non-personal, or anonymized (non-personally identifiable) private information for marketing, analytics, analysis, demographic profiling, advertising, and other business purposes.

Legal Reasons:

If we receive a legal request (e.g. a search warrant, court order, or subpoena) from legal authorities around the world, and have a good-faith belief that the applicable laws require us to do so, we may access, use, preserve or disclose your information with the request's owner.

We may also access, preserve or disclose your information if we believe that it is reasonably necessary; to enforce our Terms of Service; to detect, address or prevent fraud, security or technical issues; or to protect our or our users’ safety, rights or property.

How We Store Your Information

We store the data we collect for as long as we need it to be able to provide our Services and fulfill any other purposes outlined in this privacy policy. Please note that, even if you delete some information or your account as a whole, we may keep storing it for technical and legal requirements and constraints related to the security and operation of our Services.

We may store and process the information we collect in any country in which we, or our service providers maintain facilities. We, or our service providers may transfer information that we collect about you, including personal information across borders and to other countries around the world. By using our Services you consent to this type of information transfer.

We take commercially reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, misuse, modification, or disclosure. However, as no data transfer over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, you acknowledge that the personal information you provide to our Service could be accessed or tampered with by a third party. Updating Your Information

We provide tools and settings for logged in users to access, modify or delete the information that they provide to us and that is associated with their accounts.

You also have the option to permanently delete your account. When you delete your account, we also delete the information associated with it (e.g. your posts, comments, photos, likes, or follows). Please note that, information others have shared about you is not deleted with your account as they don't belong to you. The one who has provided the information have the option to delete it or not.

Please note that search engines and other third parties may still keep copies of your public information (e.g. your user profile, or content you have shared publicly) even after you have deleted the information from our Services.

If you're not a registered user, but have subscribed for email communications (e.g. for newsletters), you can unsubscribe by clicking on the unsubscribe link provided in such communications.

Our Services may contain links to third-party services but this privacy policy only applies to Karetra Services. If you follow such a link, please note that we are not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of these third-party services. We encourage you to read their privacy policy before you provide them any personal information.

Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to anyone under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect any information from such persons. If we learn that we have collected such information without parental consent, we will remove that information from our records as quickly as possible. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify or update this privacy policy at any time. We will notify you of any changes to this privacy policy by posting those changes on this page (http://www.karetra.com/legal/privacy-policy) You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this Policy periodically and to be aware of any modifications. Your continued use of our Services will signify your acceptance of the changes to this privacy policy.
